While Smart Passes Wallet primarily functions offline and stores your passes locally, we use specific technologies to enable essential features like automatic updates and location-based notifications.

To provide the core functionality of the App, we process the following limited data:
Precise Location Data (Background):
- Usage: The App accesses your device's background location solely to detect when you are near the location associated with a stored pass (e.g., a store, airport, or event venue). This triggers a local notification to display the pass on your lock screen.
- Privacy: This processing occurs locally on your device. We do not record, store, or transmit your location history to our servers or any third party.
Push Notification Tokens:
- Usage: We register a generated anonymous ID (Firebase Cloud Messaging Token) and the Pass Serial Number.
- Purpose: This allows the original Pass Issuer to send real-time updates to your device (e.g., gate changes, balance updates, coupons).
Camera:
- Usage: Used strictly for scanning QR codes to import new passes into the App.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the data described above for the following purposes only:
- To display passes automatically when they are most relevant (Geofencing).
- To specific automatic updates for your digital cards and tickets.
- To enable the scanning and adding of new passes.
4. Third-Party Services
We utilize trusted third-party infrastructure to support specific App features:
- Google Firebase (Firestore & Cloud Messaging): Used to facilitate the delivery of secure, real-time updates for your passes.
- Pass Issuers: When updating a pass, the App communicates directly with the issuer's web service (as defined in the pass file) to download the latest version.
5. Data Security
- Local Storage: Your passes and personal data contained within them are stored securely on your device's internal storage.
- No Personal Identifiers: We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or advertising ID.
- Control: You can delete any pass at any time, which removes all associated data from your device.
6. Children's Privacy
Smart Passes Wallet does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The App is safe for general audiences.
7. Your Rights
You maintain full control over your data:
- Revoke Permissions: You can disable Location or Camera permissions at any time in your device settings (though some features like geofencing will stop working).
- Delete Data: To delete all data, simply delete the passes within the app or uninstall the application. This will remove all local data and the notification token.

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of any significant changes through the App or this page.
